COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The National Weather Service says it could be a stormy Labor Day around Branch County.
Forecasters say a strong cold front will trigger showers and thunderstorms across the area from this afternoon into this evening.
Thunderstorms are expected to rapidly develop after 2:00pm and move southeast across the area through the evening hours.
There is also an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms.
The storms could produce damaging wind gusts and large hail.
Brief heavy rainfall and frequent lightning are also possible.
The storms will bring in much cooler weather for the rest of the week.
