COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school tennis Wednesday, Coldwater defeated Three Rivers 6-2. The Cardinals got wins from Noah Waterbury at number one singles, Alec Keplinger at number three singles and the number one doubles team of Christian Pine and Blake Yates. Three Rivers defaulted the other three doubles matches.
Coldwater will host Edwardsburg next Thursday.

Coldwater finished third in the second Interstate 8 Jamboree of the season on Wednesday at the Marshall Country Club. Jackson Lumen Christi won the event with a 176 followed by Marshall at 179 with Coldwater at 184.
Coldwater was led by Claire Sheppard who shot a 43 followed by Kelly Warner with a 46, Hunter Jenkot had a 47, Molly Smith shot a 48, Jayla Goodwin carded a 51 and Micki Slack rounded out Coldwater’s scoring with a 59.
Coldwater will be a the Cascades Golf Course next Wednesday to participate in the 3rd Jamboree of the season hosted by Lumen Christi.

Both of the Bronson squads were third at the East Jackson Invitational on Wednesday. Colin Ransbottom was the top finisher for Bronson in the boys race as he was ninth in a time of 20:00.76. His teammate Daniel Barajas was tenth. Hunter Trine was 11th for the Vikings.
Xochiti Garcia of Bronson was sixth in the girls meet while Meghan Vaughn was 18th. Bronson’s Luis Ortiz won the freshmen/sophomore race in a time of 19:38.43.
Quincy finished fifth in the boys and third in the girls race at the Hillsdale Invitational. Nathan Nohr was the top finisher for the Orioles in the boys race as he was sixth with a time of 17:27.8. Ian Trall was 24th.
Harmony Harpster led the Quincy girls with a eighth place finish. Her time was 22:10.2. Her teammate Madelyn Allman was tenth with a time of 22:48.8. Makenzie Blatter was 26th while Abby Strock was 30th.
Hanover-Horton swept the team titles.
