COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education formally approved a one year contract with the district’s Early Education Personnel Association on Wednesday afternoon.
A previous three year contract between the district and the association expired on June 30.
In her Individual Development Plan for the 2024-2025 school year, B.I.S.D. Superintendent Kris Jenkins reported to the board that, “EEPA negotiations were strained but successful. I wish that we could have offered more pay and benefits, but we will have to continue to advocate and work for increased financial support from the state and federal government.”
In other news from the B.I.S.D., the Careers Center Electrical Technologies program has teamed up with Construction Trades students to build a temporary electrical service station for the house project on Pillsbury.
The temporary electrical service was up and running at the house on Thursday morning.
