THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – Due to another threat posted to Snapchat, Three Rivers Community Schools will be closed for a second straight day on Friday.
Classes and all home after school activities are cancelled .
District apologized for the late notice but they said, “it is important all details are investigated prior to canceling school. Three Rivers Community Schools takes this information seriously, and the safety of our school community is important.”
According to a post on the district’s Facebook page, additional information related to the threats and the very serious consequences for making threats against a school or other public institution will be shared with the school community on Friday.
Meanwhile, charges are pending against the juvenile who allegedly posted the social media threat that closed Three Rivers schools on Thursday after he was brought into the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office by his mother.
