LANSING, MI (WTVB) – State Representative Eric Leutheuser says a bill passed by the House Thursday that pays for park improvements and land acquisition across the state will include funds for the expansion of Angel Cove Park along the Coldwater River.
Leutheuser says the $114,000 combination of state and Natural Resources Trust Fund money will be used to buy two parcels of land next to the park.
Future development plans include the expansion of campsites on the riverfront, a pavilion and a handicap accessible launch for canoes and kayaks.
Leutheuser says this will be the first canoe and kayak launch of its kind in Branch County and will give residents a chance for shore fishing.
The bill now move to the Senate.
