COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A six year agreement to provide fire and emergency response services from the Coldwater Fire Department for Girard Township was approved Monday night by the Coldwater City Council.
City Manager Keith Baker said there would be a two percent annual increase over the life of the agreement.
The Girard Township Board approved the agreement last week.
The previous contract between the township and the city was set to expire June 30, 2017.
Coldwater provides fire suppression and emergency response services to both Girard and Coldwater Townships. An agreement between Coldwater and Coldwater Township was renewed last year.
