BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings scored on their first five possessions as they romped to a 64-13 victory over the Quincy Orioles on Friday night before a jammed packed homecoming crowd at Charles R. Hilton Field.
Spencer Losinski’s 73 yard touchdown pass to Kam Brackett on the first play of the game set the tone for the evening as Bronson grabbed a quick 8-0 lead.
Quincy responded as Christian Craven threw a two yard TD pass to Alex Berry. The point after cut the Vikings lead to 8-7 but that’s as close as the Orioles were going to get for the rest of the night.
Ben Stevens scored a pair of touchdowns to put Bronson ahead 22-7. A 32 yard TD scamper by Stevie Wilson gave the Vikings a 30-7 lead after the first quarter.
Bronson got three more scores in the second quarter on a 19 yard touchdown by Aiden Whitaker, a 100 yard interception return by Brackett and a 34 yard pass from Losinski to Devin Stuart as they took a 51-7 halftime lead.
With a running clock in use during the second half, the Vikings tacked on two more touchdowns as Stevens threw a ten yard pass to Stuart and Jace Hoard scored from three yards out. Quincy got a TD on a 38 yard pass from Berry to Noah Rufenacht.
Hoard rushed for 90 yards while Wilson had 85 yards on the ground and Losinski passed for 146 yards.
Quincy had 206 yards through the air as Craven and Berry split time at quarterback. Rufenacht had four catches for 95 yards while Noah Kelley had 16 carries for 76 yards.
Bronson is now 5-2 overall and 5-1 in the Big 8 Conference while Quincy drops to 0-7 and 0-6 in the Big 8.
