Diane Ruth Newbold, 73, of Tekonsha, danced her way into heaven Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall.
A celebration of Diane’s life will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Tekonsha, 914 N. Main Street, Tekonsha, MI, 49092, with Pastor Brian Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.., also at the First Baptist Church of Tekonsha Saturday.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Diane was born on July 22, 1951 to Donald and Juanita (Rarick) Doolittle in Albion, Michigan. She graduated from Tekonsha High School with the Class of 1969.
February 24,1976 she married John Stanley Addington Newbold in Tekonsha. He preceded her in death June 22, 1984.
Diane worked at State Farm in Marshall and Portage, retiring after 47 years as an Underwriter. After retiring, she worked at Family Fare in Marshall. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, being outdoors, beaches, dancing, line dancing, watching football, and Hallmark movies.
Surviving are her daughters, Theresa (Jake) DePew of Kingsland, GA and Lisa Newbold of Tekonsha; her grandchildren, Alexis, Brianna, Adrienne, Isaiah, Avery, and Jacob; her sisters, Nancy (Ron) Tobalski of Tekonsha and Donnita Moore of Homer; many nieces and nephews; and the best grand- dog, Bosley, and grand – cat, Rosie.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents as well.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
