BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – According to figures from the Michigan Secretary of State office, nearly 11,000 ballots have already been cast by Branch County voters ahead of Tuesday’s General Election.
That includes 5,123 ballots cast during eight days of early in person voting at the Dearth Community Center.
Of the 6,466 absentee ballots that had been requested, 5,776 have been returned.
The 10,899 ballots that have already been cast represents 30-point-7 percent of the 35,399 registered voters in Branch County.
The voter turn out for this year’s election in Branch County is expected to top the last two presidential elections. There was a 62.6 percent turn out in 2020 and 56.85 percent in 2016.
Statewide, almost 3.1 million voters have already cast ballots which includes over 1.2 million who took advantage of early in person voting.
