BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council formally adopted a new Master Plan and Unified Zoning Code Ordinance for the city on Monday night.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says the new Bronson Master Plan captures the vision of the community and identifies goals and action steps to achieve that vision.
It updates a Master Plan that was adopted in 2007.
Consultant Crystal Walsh from Abonmarche of Goshen, Indiana said during her presentation on Monday that three public events were held as part of the process.
The City of Bronson received a $30,000 Redevelopment Ready Communities Technical Assistance grant to update the City’s Master Plan and Zoning Ordinance in October of 2023.
Mersman said in his report to the Council that the Plan was developed through the collaborative efforts of the City staff, volunteer steering committee, the Planning Commission, the City Council as well as the residents and stakeholders that participated in the multiple engagement efforts undertaken during this process.
