COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal bowlers swept the Pennfield Panthers at Midway Lanes in a Interstate 8 conference meet on Thursday afternoon.
The Varsity girls bowled a short handed Panther squad and won their meet 30-0.
Coldwater took both regular games 618-392 and 698-380, taking totals 1,316-772. The Cardinals also won both Baker games 179-96 and 134-99, taking totals 313 to 195. The girls were led by Ashlyn Cleckner with a 170 and Kylie Cook with a 160.
The Boys Varsity match was much closer as Coldwater edged Pennfield 15 ½-14 1/2.
Coldwater won both regular games 880-847 and 953-881, taking totals 1,833-1,728.
Pennfield won both Baker games 170-155 and 225-156 as the Panthers took the totals 395-311. The boys were led by Brady Hawver with a 234, Zach Robison a 212 and Vinnie Beekman a 206.
The Coldwater JV team dropped their match 17 to 13.
