QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles finished second while the Coldwater Cardinals were eighth on Saturday at Quincy’s Shawn Cockrell Memorial Tournament.
The tournament is held every year in honor of Shawn Cockrell. He was an outstanding wrestler for Quincy High School who lost his life in a 1993 traffic accident.
Addison won the 13 team meet on Saturday with 145 points while the Orioles had 115 1/2 points and the Cardinals finished with 76 points.
Quincy’s Ryan Rose won the championship at 106 pounds while Chayse Jensen captured the 138 pound title.
Five other Orioles placed. Caleb Rose was third at 132, Evan Yeakey was fourth at 144, Landon Bearden was third at 165, Noah Kelly was second at 175 and Lucas Dixon was fourth at 190.

Coldwater’s Raul Cecilio won the 215 pound championship. Four other Cardinals placed.
Umari Umari was third at 120 pounds, Ruben Torres was third at 138, Gage Fuller was fourth at 157 and Fletchen Barr was fourth at 285 pounds.
