COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Humane Society of Branch County is trying to get the word out about puppies sold locally who they say had the deadly Parvo disease.
News of the puppies being sold in Facebook ads posted by Duane Norton spread on social media last week, as there were numerous comments the dogs were sick.
Jan Nageldinger from the Humane Society told WWMT-TV Friday that six of the puppies have died and they have told Norton to stop selling them. She added a lot of people are incurring very high veterinarian bills.
Norton told WWMT-TV he would not knowingly expose puppies to something that would mean death. He also promised to reimburse those who bought a sick puppy from him.
