BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Fire Department used social media to pull an April Fools Joke over the weekend on those who follow department news on Facebook.
The department posted on April Fools Day this past Saturday that on a 4-3 vote, the Bronson Area Fire Board decided to repaint the entire fleet of fire apparatus from the current lime green to red.
The announcement went on to say the decision came after they consulted with Earl Scheib. It concluded by saying, “the change in color was decided by BFD administrators as an attempt to appease neighboring fire departments who became upset when statistics came to light showing Bronson’s fire trucks are prettier than the red apparatus used by the other departments. Allegedly the jealousy created by this fact was causing problems with other fire departments in the area.”
One person who commented thought it was real before being reassured it was not happening and it was just an April Fool Joke. So for the record, the Bronson Fire Trucks are staying lime green.
