LANSING, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Public Service Commission has approved DTE Electric Company’s application for the utility’s Cold Creek Solar Park Project in Branch County.
Through the project, the utility will provide electricity to Ford Motor Company through DTE’s voluntary green pricing program.
According to a post on the State of Michigan’s web site, the approval includes master service agreements with New East Solar Energy Incorporated for the module supply agreement and Roncelli Incorporated for engineering, procurement and construction.
It’s anticipated the solar project in Butler, Quincy, and Coldwater Townships will provide 100 megawatt alternating current of renewable energy capacity, with commercial operation expected in late 2026.
