Kim E. Krebs, 78, of Coldwater passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Insight Hospital and Medical Center in Coldwater.
Cremation has taken place. A time of celebration and remembrance will be held for family and friends at the Bronson American Legion Post 259 in Bronson, MI, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.
Kim was born on December 28, 1946, to Elwood and Virginia (Zabel) Krebs in San Diego, CA.
He graduated in 1965 from Sturgis High School, after which he served in the United States Navy for nearly 4 years during the Vietnam era.
Kim had a long career as a diesel mechanic working mainly at Acorn Building Components in Quincy and later for Wilcox Trucking in Coldwater. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, bowling, golf, watching football, and especially following NASCAR racing.
Kim is survived by his wife Kristie (Ireland) Krebs of Coldwater; his son Kristin (Maria) Krebs of Coldwater; his grandsons Gavin (Lori Coburn) Krebs, Jayden Krebs, Keegan Krebs; his sister Robin (Larry) Gregory of Warsaw, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Kim was preceded in death by his sisters Penney Howell of Colorado, and Lindsay Hamm of Idaho.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Branch County.
