Louis “Louie” Tobolske was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He passed away at the age of 92 Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Quincy American Legion May 10, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

He was born to Raymond and Louise (Herman) Tobolske May 10, 1932.
After graduating from Tekonsha High School in 1950, Louie went on to serve his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. December 12,1959, he married Janice Worden. Together, they raised 5 children.
He was a mechanic for many years and retired from Gambles Warehouse. Through the 60s, he enjoyed stock car racing at Butler Motor Speedway. He was one to shoot 25 out of 25 trap shooting. He proudly ran Louie’s Raw Furs & Trapping Supplies throughout the 70s and 80s. Louie loved duck, goose and squirrel hunting, trapping and ice fishing.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Louie. He loved spending time tending to his garden and was always sharing what he grew with friends. He enjoyed feeding and watching the squirrels and birds who visited his yard. Louie deeply loved and spoiled his black lab, Daisy.
Dressed in his cowboy boots and a plaid button up, Louie was always telling stories: whether stories of friends from the past or family. Louie is survived by his wife, Janice, their 5 children: Sheree (Kent) Dirschell, Marie (Dennis) Stoye, Bob (Tia) Tobolske, Beth Ann (Ted) Lawrence, and Loretta (Derek) Tobolske-Horn; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Quincy American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
