Betty Lucille Karbon, 92, of Coldwater passed away peacefully February 23, 2025 with her husband of 70 years, Herman (Bud) by her side. She looked in his eyes, smiled, and entered the arms of Jesus.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Drew Foster from Hope Church officiating.
Visitation will be held Saturday prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Betty was born August 16, 1932 in Wayne County, MI to Herman and Lenore (Behm) Colwell. She married the love of her life, Bud, on December 17, 1954 in Indiana. They resided in Allen Park, MI until 2017 and then moved to Coldwater to be closer to family.
Her life was made full by having three boys, Michael, Jim and Tom. She enjoyed watching her sons grow into wonderful husbands, fathers and grandfathers.
She was an active participant in the Allen Park American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Betty loved bowling and gardening; and it brought her great joy to help others. Her favorite job was caring for her family and loving her husband, keeping him happy, healthy and in line!
Betty is survived by her husband Bud; her sons Jim (Patsy) Karbon, Tom (Diane) Karbon; her daughter-in-law Jan Karbon; 11 grandchildren and their spouses and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother Bob and her loving son Michael.
Memorials may be directed to Hope Church or Oaklawn Hospice.
