COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners were told during their work session this past Tuesday that construction on the countywide broadband project will start soon.
Branch County has been looking at updating broadband service since 2020 and County Administrator Frank Walsh indicated the wait may soon be over.
Frontier Communication’s Joe Saril said they’re ready to go.
Frontier’s Todd Kruse said the county will get quarterly updates on the project.
Frontier is finishing up getting the needed permits. It was noted during Tuesday’s meeting that the county is still within the grant window for the project funds.
