With heartfelt sadness, we share the passing of Sharon Lee Sheely, a woman whose love, laughter, and kindness touched so many lives. She was the heart of her family, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence brought warmth to every room.
She found beauty in flowers, the honky-tonk in music, adventure in every garage sale and luck in every bingo hall. Dogs adored her, and she adored them. Sharon worked at Meijer for 19 years, where she built friendships and brightened the days of coworkers and customers alike.
Sharons parents Harvey “Bud” Barkimer and Cathlyn Barkimer made their journey ahead of her. Sharon leaves behind her sister, Deborah Barkimer, and a beautiful legacy in her six children: Raymond Frizzell, Sherri (Mark) Joseph, Marnie (John) Moulton, Pamela (Tim) Prater, Kimberly Trumble, and Angela Frizzell, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry her love and stories forward.
To know Sharon was to know love, laughter, and the simple joys of life. She will be deeply missed but forever held close in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to love her.
May her soul take a soft-footed journey, on a soft-floored path through the old forest to the Land of Comfort, where the only tears are the drops of rain falling from leaves, the only moaning deep ocean swells, the only sighing light evening breezes. Rest in that land, with the peace she has earned.
