COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Due to the limited amount of vaccine available for COVID-19, the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is not currently making appointments or keeping a list of people who are interested in getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
They are following the Center for Disease Control guidelines for prioritization of distribution and administration of COVID-19 vaccines for individuals.
The agency says they will keep the public posted as vaccine clinics become available.
The Moderna vaccine will be administered in the jurisdiction since a deep freezing refrigerator for the Pfizer vaccine is unavailable.
Vaccine manufacturers will continue to release limited supplies of COVID-19 vaccines during the first few months that they are available.
Among those who will be vaccinated first are paid and unpaid persons serving in health care settings as well as residents and workers in long-term care facilities.
