COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the increase in commercial traffic and residents living in new apartments built on North Willowbrook Road, the City of Coldwater is undertaking a project to extend a pedestrian path from the northeast corner of West Chicago Street to North Drive.
City Manager Keith Baker says the project was prioritized during last year’s budget process and has been requested by many members of the public.
The low bid for the seven foot wide concrete sidewalk was Excell Paving Plus of Coldwater for $171,924.50.
The Coldwater City Council approved the bid at their meeting Monday. The project is being funded from the City’s general fund balance.
