COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Consumers Energy crews made significant progress in getting power restored to its Branch County customers Thursday.
The electric utility says this morning there are now just 214 outages in the county, down from over 1,700 yesterday afternoon.
Around the area 136 remain without power in Hillsdale County, 214 in St. Joseph County, 409 in Jackson County, 562 in Calhoun County, and 195 in Kalamazoo County.
System wide Consumers Energy says nearly 17,000 customers are still in the dark, and that includes those customers in the ice storm ravaged areas in northern Michigan.
