MARSHALL,MI (WTVB) – A driver who led police on a chase in Branch and Calhoun counties is now in custody.
Wednesday evening troopers from the Michigan State Police responded to a reckless driving complaint on North Union City Road in Coldwater Township.
Troopers located the vehicle, and through investigation, linked the driver to a hit-and-run in Sherwood Township, a reckless driving complaint and road rage incident in Calhoun County’s Athens Township, and an assault in the village of Athens .
Troopers from the Marshall Post, deputies from Calhoun County, deputies from Branch County, as well as the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi tribal officers collaborated their investigations.
State Police say the driver was arrested and lodged on several driving offenses, including Operating While Intoxicated. The name of the driver was not released.
