COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- Coldwater Township supervisor Donald Rogers will continue to serve on The Michigan Townships Association’s Board of Directors after being re-elected at a caucus held during their annual conference.
Rogers has served on the Coldwater Township Board for 35 years, he was first elected trustee in 1988, and treasurer in 2000 and has served as supervisor since 2014. Rogers was appointed by Governor Snyder in 2014 to serve on the state Local Communities Stabilization Authority and serve as the authority’s treasurer. He also received a special award for outstanding service to the Michigan Municipal Treasurer’s Association.
Rogers says “being involved in local government is very rewarding. Having the ability to provide our residents a safe and friendly atmosphere through our parks and services is what grassroots government is all about”.
