QUINCY, MI (WTVB)- The Quincy Community School Board has announced the beginning of a process to search for a new superintendent. The board is currently soliciting community and staff input on the qualities, experience, and skills needed in the new superintendent.
The board will be assisted in it’s search by the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB), with Mark Palmer facilitating the search. Palmer will be holding meetings in the district to give residents and staff the opportunity for input in the search process. The meetings are scheduled to take place on:
Residents an staff can also share their input through an online survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/quincysearch .
The survey is being administered by the MASB Executive Search team on behalf of the District and takes about ten minutes to complete.
School officials say anonymous individual responses will be combined with those from the face to face meetings with stakeholders to provide important community input to the Quincy Community Schools Board of Education as it seeks to identify the best candidate for the position.
The new superintendent is expected to assume the position in July 2025.
