BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB)- The Battle Creek Fire Department, with assistance from LifeCare Ambulance, was dispatched to 20 Everett Ave. for
a structure fire shortly after 3 p.m on Monday.
Fire crews arrived to find smoke coming from the second floor of the home and made a forced entry. The fire was quickly extinguished and brought under control approximately 20 minutes.
Emergency crews were able to resuscitate one of the family’ dogs. Unfortunately, several other pets perished in the fire.There were no other injuries, total damage was listed at more than $230,000.
