BRONSON, MI (WTVB)- Bronson will begin annual hydrant flushing early Monday morning to assure the city’s water distribution system remains clean and functional for residents, businesses, and firefighters.
The flushing is scheduled to start just after midnight in the eastern portion of the city, followed by the western portion on April 29. If additional time is needed, crews may continue flushing on April 30.
Residents may notice temporary water discoloration, often appearing rusty or reddish orange, due to stirred-up sediments. While the water remains safe for use, The city advises running cold water for several minutes will clear any discoloration. The city also recommends avoiding laundry during flushing days, as discolored water may stain fabrics.
