COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A brisk windy Saturday morning didn’t stop around 200 demonstrators from taking to the Four Corners in Coldwater, to peacefully voice their displeasure with the Trump administration and The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Demonstrators from Branch County, were joined by several others from Hillsdale, Calhoun, and St Joseph counties in an effort to make their voices heard.
Branch County Democrat Party Chairman Anita Hoyt describes the reason for the demonstration
Hoyt says the combination of Trump and DOGE are threatening to cut services for millions of Americans, including nearly 1/4 of Michiganders who rely on Medicare and Medicaid.
Hoyt added that they were very pleased with the turnout
Party Treasurer Vaugh Svoboda says another Hands Off demonstration is being planned for this summer in approximately six to eight weeks.
