Melanie Jean Sanders, 54, of Tekonsha, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Ascension Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha.
Melanie was born May 31, 1966 in Eaton Rapids, Michigan to Doc and Jane (Lokken) Falk. In 1990 she moved from Marshall to Tekonsha. Melanie married Arch Franklin Sanders, Sr. on July 31, 1992 in the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Melanie loved hunting, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren, as well as taking care of her pigs and her spoiled ducks. Most of her time was spent surrounded with family. In her free time, she would be found crafting or watching crime shows and Hallmark Christmas movies. Her greatest joy was her grandkids and her ducks. Her dogs, Blue and Ruby, were also very important to her.
Melanie is survived by her father, Doc Falk; brother, Ron (Ann) Falk; husband, Arch Sanders, Sr.; sons, Brandon (Crensia) Falk and Arch (Shannon) Sanders, Jr.; daughter, Amber Falk; eight grandchildren: Brayson, Alaina, Cesylia, Levi, Axle, Hunter, Brantly and Mason; as well as two adopted granddaughters, Michelle and Saddie.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Jane Falk; brother, Douglas (Leonardo Gamero) Falk; and father-in-law, Franklin L. Sanders.
