ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A man who is considered a suspect in the theft of a pick-up truck last Thursday in southern Branch County continues to be a wanted man in two states.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in trying to find 23-year-old Aaron Robert Loffer.
An active civil arrest warrant out of Steuben County as well as an active felony arrest warrant out of Allen County for failure to appear have been issued for Loffer who is also a theft suspect in Steuben and Branch Counties. Additional criminal charges are being sought.
The Michigan State Police are also looking for him in connection with the theft of the pickup which was taken from a residence on Gilead Shores Drive. It was later found at the B.P. Station on North Baker Road just south of the state line.
Loffer is described as a 32 year old white male standing five feet ten inches tall who weighs about 200 pounds. He has blue eyes and short blonde hair and possibly a beard. Loffer was last known to be in the Clear Lake, Indiana area.
Police say he is to be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him. Instead, call 911 immediately. Anyone with information on Loffer’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office or Steuben County Crime Stoppers.
