FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – A homeless man was arrested Saturday night following a home invasion in Fremont, Indiana. Fremont Police report Steuben County Communications got a 911 call at about 8:40 p.m. that a home invasion was occurring at a residence in the 900 block of Nicholas Trail.
Fremont Police along with officers from multiple other agencies responded but the suspect fled before officers arrived.
K-9 Jax from the Angola Police Department was brought in to help with the search. A perimeter was set up in the area and a suspect was later located and taken into custody without incident.
47 year old Clarence Hoskins Junior was arrested on charges of Burglary, Battery against a person less than fourteen years old, Theft and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Agencies assisting in the investigation were the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Angola City Police Department, Fremont Fire Department, Steuben County EMS and Steuben County Communications.
