STURGIS, MI, (WTVB) – A criminal forensic scientist originally from Sturgis is the newest Jeopardy champion, despite finishing with just $799.
Tyler Griffith led briefly during Tuesday’s episode and risked everything on two Daily Doubles to stay competitive. Going into Final Jeopardy, he held a narrow lead, but all three contestants answered incorrectly.
Griffith wagered the least, allowing him to edge out the others and claim victory. He returns to face two new challengers on tonight’s show.
The $799 was the lowest total to ever win on the long running game show.
Originally from Sturgis, Griffith now resides in New Mexico.
