SOMERSET TOWNSHP, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police report a body that was discovered in a burning vehicle last week in Hillsdale County’s Somerset Township has been identified as 30-year-old Tyler Craig Herendeen of Jonesville.
State Police in Jackson continue to investigate what is being called a suspicious vehicle fire that took place in the area of Voorheis and Waldron Roads during the evening of January 11, 2017.
The cause of death has yet to be determined as troopers await official autopsy and toxicology results.
They say the investigation is continuing.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says Herendeen was arrested January 5, 2017 on a felony warrant for possession of heroin. He then posted bond and was released.
