QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council is scheduled Tuesday night to take action on a resolution which would establish a policy and application process for medical marijuana manufacturing licenses in Quincy.
The Council adopted a resolution in October which created the $5,000 application fee for licensing medical marijuana manufacturing facilities in the village.
Village Manager Eric Zuzga said last month they had to postpone the issuance of any medical marijuana provisioning center licenses until they could fix an issue in the ordinance.
He said the ordinance provided a first come, first served structure. According to Zuzga, with five to six people vying for a license the staff felt that they could not put this structure in place without having any issues.
