Kalvin William Herman, 41, of Burlington passed away peacefully September 9, 2025 under hospice care, surrounded by his family.
In keeping with Kalvin’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Lighthouse Funeral and Cremation, 1276 Tate Trail, Union City, MI with Pastor Mark Behr of North Athens Baptist Church officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held for an hour and a half prior to the service, from 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m., also at the Lighthouse Saturday.
Kalvin, better known as “Peanut”, was born July 24, 1984 to Kalvin W and Cheryl (Green) Herman of Burlington, Michigan.
Kalvin worked as a plumber for many years in the surrounding area, with Goodwin’s Plumbing. Kalvin was also an avid fisherman and hunter. He was the first one in the stand and the last one out. He also loved Jesus, his family, and his dog, fiercely.
Kalvin is leaving behind his sisters, Jamie (Jeremy) Thomet of Burlington and Ashley (Josh) Nelson of Union City; his brothers, Paul Herman of Burlington and Austin Herman of Burlington; his mother, Cheryl Herman of Burlington; eleven beautiful nieces, who will miss their uncle Peanut; and his German Shepard, Lita.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kalvin W Herman, and many other beloved family members.
