COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Work on a new Master Plan for the City of Coldwater has gotten underway.
Julie Tschirhart from Progressive Companies of Grand Rapids gave an update to the Coldwater Planning Commission Monday night.
She said the whole process will take over a year.
There are a few different methods that are being used.
The first steering committee meeting is scheduled to take place Tuesday night.
The current Master Plan was put into effect back in 2017. Topics for the updated Master Plan include housing, recreation, transportation and economic development.
A survey has been posted on line which is available in English, Spanish, Haitian-Creole, and Arabic.

Hard copies are available at City Hall. If you want your voice to be heard, you’re asked to complete the survey by the end of October.
Tschirhart said a community open house to go over information gathered from the survey will take place sometime in November. Another open house will take place sometime in the spring.
