UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Firefighters from four departments had to battle a fire at a Union Lake residence on Thursday morning.
The fire at 1201 Sharon Lane off of Tuttle Road was reported at about 5:45 a.m..
Union City firefighters were initially dispatched to what was reported to be a fully engulfed structure fire. They got assistance from Burlington, Tekonsha and Athens crews in the form of manpower and tankers.
First reports indicated all of the occupants of the residence got out safely and that a wood burning stove may have caused the blaze.
Crews cleared the scene at around 8:00 a.m..
