HUDSONVILLE, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school volleyball, Bronson has advanced to Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek with their hopes of winning a fourth straight state championship still very much alive.
The Vikings defeated Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-13) Tuesday night in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division Three Girls Volleyball state quarterfinals at Hudsonville Unity Christian.
Despite the two hour drive, a large number of Bronson students and community members were on hand.

Bronson will face Monroe Saint Mary Catholic Central on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the state semifinals. The Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association had Saint Mary and Bronson ranked one-two for just about the entire season. The first Division Three semifinal at noon on Thursday will pit Unionville-Sebewaing against Traverse City Saint Francis. The winners will meet for the state title on Saturday at 12 noon.
The team that defeated Coldwater in the Division One districts was knocked out Tuesday night. Richland Gull Lake lost to Rockford 3-0 in the state quarterfinals at Caledonia.
