COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After a fourth public hearing, the Coldwater City Council passed a resolution Monday night which formally renewed the Central Business District’s City Parking Lot Maintenance and Improvement Program.
As part of the program, over $57,000 will be collected in annual assessments from downtown businesses for the next four years.
The parking lot maintenance program is renewed every four years by the city.
The resolutions that were passed by the Council covered the formulas for determining each assessment as well as the proposed special assessment rolls.
In other business, the Council formally approved the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities’ revision of its rules, regulations and rates.
CBPU Director Jeff Budd says the majority of the changes are based on updates needed to reflect the shutdown of their analog cable system as well as some changes in their administration and business practices. The language covering cable television has been removed since Skitter TV is now providing the service.
