COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the downtown Coldwater summertime promotion “Hops on Monroe” turned out to be a success in its first year.
Courtney Dirschell of 2nd Story Marketing recapped what happened last summer and presented plans for this year’s event during Monday’s Coldwater City Council meeting.
She said they had to follow COVID-19 precautions which included two separate two hour 100 person seatings.
Dirschell hopes they don’t have to deal with COVID-19 protocols for the second summer of “Hops on Monroe”.
Dirschell said they are doing their due diligence to make it a non-smoking event.
Dirschell also recapped last October’s “Hoptoberfest” on South Monroe which was a spin off of Hops on Monroe. She said they plan to bring it back next fall with a tentative date of October 9.
