BROOKLYN, MI (WTVB) – Quincy’s girl’s team along with five other Branch County runners will be competing on Saturday at the Michigan High School Athletic Association Cross Country State Finals at Michigan International Speedway.
The Quincy girls punched their ticket to the State Finals last weekend by finishing third at the Division Three Regionals in Jackson.
Also competing on Saturday in Division Three from Branch County will be Xochitl Garcia, Abby Ware and Luis Ortiz from Bronson.
Meanwhile, Coldwater’s Elka Machan and Kathy Potter will be running in the Division Two girls state finals. Machan and Potter qualified for the State Finals with top five finishes last Saturday at the Division Two Regionals in Portage as Machan was second while Potter was fifth.
Today in girls’ swimming, Coldwater is at the SMAC Meet finals at Portage Central

In the 8-Person tournament regional title games on Saturday afternoon, Tekonsha plays Portland Saint Patrick at Portland High School in Division Two while Colon will host Bellevue in Division One.
