COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Legg Middle School’s 8th grade A team lost at Jackson Lumen Christi 45-22. Leading scorer was Hunter Munson with 11 points. Hamid Abdul with four points, Chase Sunderland with three points and two each for Garret Johns and Donte Work. Next game is Tuesday at Harper Creek.
Legg’s 8th grade B team lost to Lumen Christi 44-9. The Cardinals were led in scoring by Alex Robey with five points, followed by Redwan Alslehay and Eduardo Arroyo with two points. Robey led the team in rebounds with eight. Arroyo had seven rebounds. Their next game is next Tuesday at Harper Creek.
The Legg 7th grade A team defeated Jackson Lumen Christi 34-31. Zach Coffing led Legg with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Evan Porter added eight points while Jack Ruden had three steals. Their record is now 1-1.
Legg’s 7th grade B team dropped their home opener to Lumen Christi 45-20. Kaden Voyce led the team with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Ammar Abdullah tallied 5 points and snared 5 boards. Sam Larr added 4 points, Rayce Johnson had a basket and 4 rebounds and Connor Friend had a free throw and 6 rebounds. Blake Marske contributed 3 steals.
