COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A man from Peru, Indiana who was charged in connection with a violent domestic incident at a Coldwater hotel over three weeks ago has entered into a plea agreement with the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office.
29-year-old Lance Shotts entered no contest pleas during his District Count preliminary exam Wednesday to charges of aggravated domestic violence and use of a non-narcotic controlled substance.
A charge of assault with a dangerous weapon was dismissed in exchange for the pleas to the other counts.
Shotts is scheduled to be sentenced in District Court December 17, 2018.
Shotts was arrested following a Coldwater Police investigation into the October 9, 2018 incident.
A woman had to be taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment of a broken finger.
