BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A $29,910,000 bond issue for Bronson Community Schools voters highlights the ballot for Tuesday’s election day around Branch County.
If passed, the bonds would fund remodeling and an addition to Anderson Elementary to allow for the closing of Ryan Elementary. The expansion would include a new gymnasium and expanded cafeteria, the addition of air conditioning and other classroom upgrades. Anderson Elementary currently houses kindergarten-second grade students, with third, fourth, and fifth grade students at Ryan.

The 4.98 mill bond issue would also pay for the construction of a new eight lane track at the high school, to replace the current six lane track.
A slightly larger $32.33 million proposal failed by 44 votes in May 2025. In addition to the City of Bronson, the school district is made up of properties in Batavia, Bethel, Bronson, Gilead, Matteson, and Noble townships.
Voters in Bronson Township are being asked Tuesday renew a millage of up to 1.0 mills for five years for fire protection and equipment. It’s expected to raise an estimated $50,000 in the first year of the millage.
There are uncontested races for mayor and four city council seats on the ballot in the City of Coldwater.
The Village of Tekonsha is asking voters to consider a renewal of a 3.75 mill through 2036 to provide funds for street and sidewalk maintenance, repair and rebuilding within the village. If approved, it would raise about $75,000 in the first year.
