COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Business Loop I-69 road reconstruction project is already behind schedule thanks to a number of delays and it’s facing more adversity.
This time, Mother Nature is getting the blame.
Due to the rainy and wet weather over the past few days, construction by the Michigan Department of Transportation contractors in downtown Coldwater has been delayed, which will likely cause more aggravation for drivers.
Work is scheduled to resume Friday, November 2 as conditions dry out and the weather permits.
The project began over two months past the original start date. Delays included a three week labor dispute.
The repaving work did not start until October 22. The scheduled completion date is November 15.
