COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – While the 2025 construction season will soon be coming to an end, the City of Coldwater already has plans in place for 2026 road projects.
The Coldwater City Council approved an engineering agreement with Fishbeck Services of Lansing Monday night to begin the design work for next summer’s road reconstruction projects on Pearl, Hudson, and Morse Streets.
City Manager Keith Baker told the Council the projects were made possible by city voters passing a road millage in November 2024.
The proposal covers work on East Pearl from Division to Sprague Street, on West Pearl from Division to Monroe and from South Clay to Jay Street, on Hudson between U.S. 12 and Pearl, and on Morse Street between U.S. 12 and Smith Street.
The project will also consist of 4-inch water mains being replaced on East Pearl Street from Elm to Sprague Streets, and storm sewer replacement on Hudson Street from U.S. 12 to Pearl Street and on East Pearl Street from Jefferson to Monroe Street.
The cost for the professional engineering services is not to exceed $395,000.
