COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU) received a Public Power Communications Award of Merit from the American Public Power Association (APPA) for its “Monster Detectives Take Over Public Utilities Week (& Beyond)” initiative.
The program, which expanded APPA’s Monster Detective Collective to local classrooms, was recognized in the Print & Digital (Class D) category and aimed to promote public utility services.
The CBPU created additional materials and characters to teach students about their water, wastewater, and telecommunications services, connecting with students, teachers, and families while highlighting the work of their team.
