COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – While girls volleyball and swim and dive will crown their state champions later this month to close out the fall high school sports season in Michigan, the start of the winter season is underway.
The Michigan High School Athletic Association allowed girls gymnastics to begin October 27, with competitive cheer and boys and girls bowling starting this past Monday, November 10. Tryouts and practices for boys basketball began Wednesday.
For other sports involving Branch County schools, individual and team wrestling practices begin Monday, November 17, girls basketball starts November 19, and boys swimming and diving officially begins November 24.
