BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – As a result of Tuesday’s Big 8 boys basketball games, there is a three-way tie atop the league standings and a four-way tie for fourth.
Concord, Springport, and Stockbridge are tied for first in the Big 8 at 4-1 after Stockbridge won at Bronson 58-47 and Springport knocked off Concord 62-54. The Vikings fell to 3-7 overall with the loss and will host Maple Valley on Thursday.
In addition to Quincy’s 46-38 victory against county rival Union City, Maple Valley won at Reading 64-48. The Lions, Orioles, Vikings, and Chargers are all 2-3 in the Big 8, with Reading bringing up the rear at 0-5.
Elsewhere, Pansophia Academy dropped a 76-41 decision at Jackson Prep. The Pumas are back in action Wednesday night at Sand Creek.
Wednesday’s hardwood slate includes a home girls basketball games for Bronson and Quincy. The Vikings will entertain 9-0 Niles Brandywine, while the Orioles will host Colon.
